Before we talk about the fact that I am holding a book in my arm for a photoshoot.
Or that I have some sweet new glasses on, lets approach the big elephant in the room.
Which is...my hair.
These photos are for anyone that has ever told me that my pictures always look so perfect.
These photos go out to you. I swear, before I took the pictures, I thought I looked awesome.
And that was also before I asked my very UN-observant husband to take photos of me.
In which he replies to my constant complaining with "Why do you ask me then?"
How do you not notice the separated bangs? That can't happen. Or the trillion fly away hairs?
I can photoshop zits and rolls and wrinkles. But I stop at 1000 random wisps of hair
floating around the circumference of my head.
Now, that we got that out of the way, lets talk about my new glasses, shall we?
Well, I got them from firmoo, which honestly is a pretty fab online eyeglasses store.
And when I say honestly, I mean honestly.
Jeff and I seriously spent several hours playing with the Virtual Try-On System, that lets you
upload your photos to "try on" your glasses. It's really worth it, because I think the highest
priced glasses I saw on the entire website were $70, which come on, is pretty amazing.
I won't even tell you what we spent on Jeff's glasses in the mall, but multiply that by about five.
But whats even moreso is that the lowest price on firmoo is $10! I'm not kidding.
Another really awesome thing about firmoo is that the first pair your order from them
is FREE. Did I just say that? Uh, yeah... All you have to pay is the shipping. Why wouldn't
you want to try it? Sheesh.
Maybe you are thinking, Gosh, I really love the glasses she chose. She looks so amazingly
trendy. She wears em just like the kids these days. I have truthfully been wanting a new pair
of glasses this exact style for several months, but I wasn't absolutely in NEED of glasses so
I was hesitating on buying them. THIS is the style I picked. If your first pair weren't already
free, this style was only $26! And yes, they are prescription!
Tell me what you guys think. Do you like them on me or what? Here is my only
problem with the entire deal. I loved the website. Super easy and of course super fun.
I love the prices. I think that the first pair free is a great deal. Duh!! And I actually
really love the glasses...from the front.
I don't know if it's just me being picky, but I think the nose pad might be a little thick...
or something? It just looks very obvious to me. Again, I tend to be a little critical of myself
(not to mention self conscious) in case you couldn't already figure it out, so it might just be me
wondering if people will be staring at me weird because of it.
All in all though, at the very least, I'd say give the website a look. If you have your
prescription on hand, the only other thing you need to make sure you have is your
PD (pupillary distance). My prescription didn't say it, but that's probably because last time
I went in I didn't go in for glasses so they didn't measure that in particular. And I didn't happen
to have a millimeter ruler nearby. Jeff tried an APP on his phone that was supposed to measure it,
but it kept giving me different numbers so we just averaged them out.
